A psychology major in college…?

Question by zzkay2000: A psychology major in college…?
I recently got accepted to both of the colleges that I applied to and I think I want to major in psychology because I would like to one day become a substance abuse or addictions counselor to help people with alcoholism, drug addiction, eating disorders, and things like that. I was just wondering from those who have been there or know people who have how hard a psychology major is. I’m an average student but I’m not very good in math or science. Would this be a good choice for a major? I don’t know anybody with this major so I have nobody else to ask. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
