So, I am 15 years old and my parents say they’re going to make me go to rehab after christmas and I’m pretty sure they will. They just found some mucinex in my room and they know i used it to get high. It sucks because i don’t even do it very often and I don’t like it that much. Weed is my drug. And i don’t even smoke weed THAT often.
My parents also saw some messages on my facebook about LSD and Ecstasy. I’ve never actually used either though, but they don’t believe me. I was maybe going to, once, but none the less i didn’t. I just know people who do and i know how to get it. The only things i’ve ever used are marijuana, dextromethorphan, diphenhydramine, and vyvanse. Diphenydramine and dextromethorphan are just otc medicines that can fuck u up, believe it or not. I don’t do anything except marijuana regularly though.
So… how long will i be in rehab? If you are supposed to stay a certain amount of time do they ever let u out early or keep you in longer? What is rehab like? What will happen with my school? I don’t want to miss school, but obviously i will. Will the school know why? will i have to repeat second semester? and any comments you have are welcome. I plan to stop using all drugs for now. I’ll smoke weed again though, not any time soon but I will. I realize some people may not think that’s good but i get by just fine. My body and mind are fine and i do fine in school. I have a plan for my future and i know im gonna go to college. Whats so bad about weed anyway?

Last question first. What’s so bad about weed? A lot. It kills brain cells that are never reproduced. It slows reaction time which in any urgent situation could mean life or death, including stopping a car before it hits a child or remembering emergency cues like C.P.R. Next, you don’t seem to understand how many young children die or are left brain damaged because they think over the counter means safe. Please take the time to look up these things. You need to know the truth of the matter. As for how long you will be in rehab, that depends on the program. They can range from a week to 3 months. Some longer depending on the severity of the addiction. Please understand that your parents only want to protect you and make you healthy. Besides, I was where you are and saw a friend die in 1980. I won’t go into the gory details. Please give it all up.
