I recently told my wife of 5 years, and mum of our 2 kids, that I have a problem with cocaine. I left my job and I’m about to lock myself up in a rehab centre.
I also had been keeping from her a debt I have had for over 5 years. I told her about it too.
I started taking the drug less than a year ago instead of talking to her following a traumatic event in my life.
I haven’t cheated on her sexually, although I lied a lot to cover up my drug abuse and, of course, to hide the debt for all those years.

I now see how wrong I was to not share my worries with her and I’m in the process of getting my addiction treated. I love her with all my heart and I miss her badly (she kicked me out when I came clean with all my lies).
Would you give me a second chance? What would make you more likely to give me a second chance?
I came clean without her having a clue. She kicked me out that very minute as the shock was so big. Just to clarify this point for those who asked.
