“Hello–I have a 97 chevy express van with a 5.7 v8–I just bought it–it would not start–the fuel pump was not running–had no power going to pump–I did not hear fuel pump relay click, so i replaced it, still nothing at first, then as i was wigglin fuses and relays, the fuel pump relay started clicking very fast, the van actually started, ran about 40 sec. and quit,would not start back, after a few minutes the relay started clicking fast again, the van started again, then quit. I suspected a grounded fuel pump, pulled the wire connector from fuel pump, the relay still clicked fast, I checked the voltage on the wires,only had 6.9 volts,i started looking for a short in the wire, as I was opening up the wiring harness, all of a sudden i had full power on the wire, I dont know what changed it, but now the relay does not come on,the fuel pump runs while cranking the engine and has 60 to 70 psi, BUT it will not hit a lick. I bought me a scanner, and it says that it cannot link to ecm. PLEASE HELP”

are you missing fuses. if not your car is jacked up. maybe your ecm computer montior is broke
