Bi-Polar Symptoms Are Similar To Meth Symptoms?

I am in my early 40’s and have had disabling BP disorder for about 10 years.
I was watching a show about meth users.
A lot of the are similar to what I experience from having BP.
IE: Unable to sleep, loss of pleasure in almost everything.
Is this normal, even if a person is on prescribed meds?
