What should I do, go to treatment or juvie?

Question by Ze: What should I do, go to treatment or juvie?
Lately I’ve been messing up a lot, and I just got out of treatment (just 5 days) for substance abuse. Last night I came home at 8 instead of 6, (I’m on probation, but it was an accident and has nothing to do with drugs/alcohol) and my probation curfew is 6. I was drunk, but I haven’t used any other substances since I got out of treatment. My mom now wants to either send me to juvie or treatment for 30/90 days and I most definitely do not want to get sent to treatment, but not juvie either. She told me to come up with a plan for what we should do because I have a problem, and I do have some mental disorders, yet they’re not classified (bipolar, depression, etc…) I want to ask her for one last chance to prove I can change and if I screw up she can definitely send me wherever she wants, but I’ve lost her trust already I don’t know if it’ll work… What are some other plans I should do to make sure I don’t get sent away? This is a question for advice, I don’t need anybody preaching to me because I already know I’ve done wrong and I’m really dedicated this time to not screwing up.

I work in a treatment center for troubled teens. I would suggest that you go to treatment. Juvie will be a waste of your time. You will just sit there for months – how can anyone expect you to get better with that? Depending on your treatment center, you might be able to go outside and have fun, along with getting your treatment.

It sounds like you could use some treatment. It is time to grow up and start taking care of your life.
