I am just amazed by the number of persons I know who are getting themselves treated in rehab– those who were forced to do so. Wouldn’t this be futile?

Actually, the two common reasons why individuals end up in drug rehabs are because the court mandated them, or because their loved ones convinced them to go and get themselves rehabilitated. Researches have shown that those who were forced to undergo drug treatment programs can still benefit from treatment. Treatment programs that offer continuing care may be better for these people.
