Women- what is your feedback about the following scenario….I voluntarily went to a 60 day recovery center for addiction to pain meds. My husband choose to attend his grandmothers 90th birthday party instead of visiting me to see how I was and just talk to me (I hadn’t seen or spoken with him in 40 days) It broke my heart…He has always put his family above me, but come on……
Well I guess I should fill u in on a little more info….He had no Idea I was addicted to anything! In fact No one did on the outside I was very put together and wanted to nip it in the bud before it affected more than just me! He needed to be there to find out what and why I felt the need to continue to take meds 6 months longer than needed. Instead of coming up to find out all the information and to communicate in a professional environment he took that weekend for the birthday and went to the courts to try to get our children taken from me! So instead of seeing him to work through this (As he said he wanted too) I received a restraining order & a letter not to see the children ages 2&4, when I got back! He hit me when I was down!! This has been over 2 years ago and I am in the process of filling for divorce because he just wants me2forget it ever happened! He gets mad every time I bring it up; I’m just trying to understand…I don’t think he even understands,but he won’t discuss it!

90th birthday is pretty inportant and so is your issues he should be there to help you but a 90th birthday doesnt always come about and i guess your always sorta of there to talk to if that makes sense sort of the “theres always tommorrow type thing. Yeah it sucks he wasn’t there tho he needs to support you but he needs to support his family talk.talk to him about how you feel other wise you wont get any wer.
