Alternatives to Ritalin for Adult ADD – Attend ?
Question by Peace: Alternatives to Ritalin for Adult ADD – Attend ?
My wife is convinced that she has ADD. While I don’t believe in it – there is no scientific evidence that it exists – I want to support my wife. However I can’t see her going on a medication like ritalin or other add drugs which have been compared to cocaine and/or actual methamphetamines.
So I would like to recommend to her some diet changes and other lifestyle changes that I know help with her actual issues AND are said to improve ADD. But also I think she is wanting to try drug therapy and I would like to be able to offer her an alternative to that which we could both feel good about.
So my question is: Do any of you take any natural remedies for adult ADD? I want to know if they are effective but more importantly are they safe. I am wondering from health professionals or people who have had these recommended or approved by their health care provider if these things are safe.
Specifically one called “Attend”.
Please don’t try to convince me to try Ritalin & thanks in advance.

I have read on the Mercola website as well as several others, that the most important supplement for MS is omega 3 fatty acids. You can find omega3’s in foods such as whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables, fish, olive oil, garlic, as well as moderate wine consumption. Another one is flax oil and flax seeds. Most people’s diets are high in meat and other omega 6 oils which throw off the balance of omega 3s and omega6s. It is essential for most people to add foods containing these essential fatty acids. Here are a couple links below. Good luck to you and to your wife! Have a great day!
