I need to write a paper about Heroin, can you help?

Question by Lily kathrynn: I need to write a paper about Heroin, can you help?
So I have to write a paper for chemistry in school about Heroin. I need to know a simple way to explain what Heroin does to a person. Like when someone takes heroin, what would they feel? Numb? Happy? Delusional? Does a Heroin addict build up a tolerance to it so they have to take more every time? Stuff like that would be helpful. Serious answers only please. I’m not looking for idiots trying to make jokes, I just really need help on my paper. Thanks!

Well from biology class…when a drug is taken the amount of dopamine (it’s a type of a neurotransmitter) increases. It causes an individual to feel extremely happy…like they have never felt before. But when this effect is taken away a person can feel depressed, and that is really hard to deal with. The more they take…the more they want. When heroin is take often, a person may feel that is their normal level of feeling happy, and they dont wanna have that normal feeling so they take more of that drug, to feel happier. Seriously, to them it feels like nothing in the world makes them feel slightly happy other than heroin.

I think u could try researching on the effects. Hope this helps.
