What all will a parole officer check during a home inspection?
Question by Amber Dawn: What all will a parole officer check during a home inspection?
My fiance is being released in 6-12 months to my home, with our daughter and I. I’ve yet to have my home inspected and need to know what to expect, because I want to make a good impression, for him, on his parole officer. I know that there can be no fire arms, ammunition, drugs or alcohol, but it’s important that I know how clean my eight acres of property needs to be. I have a chicken coop, a small barn, a shed, workshop and lean-to open garage……these are a lot of buildings combined with the house. 😛 Mind you, they’re all relatively small and likely wouldn’t take long to look over, but do you think he will check them? As well as this, I have four acres of pasture land. Do you think he will want to walk through it? This all might seem quite absurd, but the rehabilitation of my property has been a struggle and embarrassment (I had a careless, destructive and lazy younger brother staying in my father’s home, where I reside now). I want to make presentable everything that he will inspect, without exclusion. The dilemma is that I rarely have time outside of caring for my four-year-old and and caring for my acre of organic gardens to have the energy to spread myself elsewhere. The bottom line is, that if at all possible, I don’t want to deal with the chaos that isn’t even going to be noticed if he’s not walking in my back yard. There is plenty of time for that when my fiance gets home. 😀 Maybe then I’ll get a little rest. 😛 I appreciate any advice from people with experience in these ordeals and thank you in advance for your contributions.
Like I said in the beginning, I’m aware of what I’m NOT allowed to have. The question was whether or not I should be concerned about him searching the entire EIGHT ACRES of my property. If I don’t need to have a stroke this summer cleaning glass, a torn down building and other random junk on top of gardening and minding my child – I would love to be able to avoid it until it cools down or I can get some help, because as it stands it’s just ME – all 104 lbs. Thank you in ADVANCE for your POSITIVE contributions.
