Is it possible for a woman to trigger manic symptoms of a person with bipolar disorder?
Question by George Georgerson: Is it possible for a woman to trigger manic symptoms of a person with bipolar disorder?
Only one woman does this. I have bipolar I disorder, the strongest type of the disease. Every time this certain woman approaches me, or looks in my general direction, or speaks to me, or speaks near me, etc etc, it triggers mania symptom. As fast as like inhaling some sort of crack or meth (never had either one) but, to illustrate the point. It’s like i “breathe” her psyche into my brain, and it triggers mania. and I can’t help it.
Do you know of anything like this?
Please give specific examples.

Is it the good manic or the dark manic?
If it’s the dark manic, then I’m guessing you may also have PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) from traumas past (near-past and childhood past and all in between, whatever the case may be.
I have not had this happen to me. I was, however, misdiagnosed for 2 years with Manic Depression (I prefer the “old-school” term for the now “BiPolar” which reminds me of a polar bear).
If it’s the happy manic, perhaps you have feelings for this woman? It could be a huge shot of endorphins kicking in as well.
