WHITE PLAINS — An investigation into recent heroin overdoses in Dutchess County led to the arrest last night of a Bronx woman who police said was selling the drug along the Hutchinson River Parkway in Westchester. Westchester County police arrested Doreen Ann Paoli, 47, after police said an undercover officer made several purchases from her over the past two months. They also recovered Oxycontin pills and thousands of dollars in jewelry, power tools, electronics and other merchandise police said Paoli’s young adult clients had stolen to trade for the heroin. Heroin that she sold was linked to the death of Francis Hughes, a 19-year-old Pawling man who overdosed in July 4, 2008, said Lt. John Watterson of the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office. Hughes’ death sparked the investigation into heroin sales in the Pawling area that led to her arrest. Watterson said his was the only death linked to her, though there were other overdoses. New York City police, meanwhile, arrested a Bronx man last night who was her alleged supplier. They also seized 200 bags of heroin
