Is the show intervention scripted or is it all real?
Question by Russell Mania: Is the show intervention scripted or is it all real?
Me and my roomate watch intervention sometimes. I showed him this one intervention and it was about how alcohol was destroying their family. Since it was on demand I had my friend watch it, it was the most severe case I have ever seen. After my friend watched that episode, he said it looked faked and we started to question if it was real or not. Here are the facts.
1. The kids seemed like they were smarted, they said things that a five year old would not normally say.
2. They actually snuke into their dads home to take his gun away so he wouldn’t try to kill himself or someone else. The window just happened to be open and the kid told him where the keys to his gunsafe could be even though he wasn’t sure.
3. At times the kids seemed like they were effected by their dad drinking and at other times they seemed like they were unaffected.
What are the chances that the window just happens to be open and they can find the keys right away without even searching that hard. My friend said it was only that show that seemed fake and the rest seem real.
My other question is, wouldn’t people catch on to the show and already know what is happening. Someone comes up to them and ask them for a documentary about their drug use or drinking and they know they are going to have a final interview, which turns out to be the intervention. Are they just so rapped up with their drug use, they don’t realize whats happening. Do they add a fake one every now and then to boost up ratings.

sounds like scripted like most of the other “reality shows”
my opinion is that if they say its a reality entertainment show, than its most likely scripted, game shows are different, but yea some shows to do stuff to boost up their ratings
