he is on day 3 and he has been going to AA meetings and such. But I am just wondering what I can do to help. And if anyone has any tips that I can tell him to help him get through this rough time. Any help would be great thanks

It is great that you are supporting him. Go to Al-Anon. http://www.al-anon.alateen.org/
They are the best at giving you the tools and advice you need to hear and to help him. Don’t resist. This is not just a quick fix problem. You’ll get advice that you both will use for the rest of your lives.
