My computer just finished the system restore and has the Vista set up window displayed. Im wondering what is the safest steps to take next? Possible to use my recovery disks still? I have a HP desktop. Thanks for any answers.

Yes, you can use recovery disks. The virus can’t be burned on your disk unless it is associated with an image file.
