How to correct meth addict looking skin?
Question by Jenney B: How to correct meth addict looking skin?
I’m 27 years old, not a meth addict, although sometimes when I look in the mirror I feel like I look like a meth addict. I have hormonal chin acne which is mainly, literally hundreds of closed comedomes- the hardest acne to treat. I can’t afford retin a, which is the recommended treatment. I drink water, green tea and sugar free juice high in vit a, although I need to do this more. I’m so so so frustrated with this ongoing problem, esp since I have anxiety over it and it ruins my whole day sometimes bc I feel powerless over it and what makes me more upset and angry is how stressful my job is taking care of intellectually disabled people and giving them my all and not making enough to take care of myself or have insurance. Etc. What do I do?

If you use meth at all, you have to stop before this will ever clear up. You might consider washing this area with an anti-bacterial soap which may or may not help. Applying a drying-type acne cream regularly may also help. Keeping your hands off this area. Making sure your make-up is for oily skin and doesn’t contribute to the problem. Lots and lots of water. Consider a trial starter kit of Proactive acne program. With trial and error, you may be able to clear this up somewhat with effort and the use of OTC acne meds. And, if you happen to need a doctor’s visit for another illness sometime in the near future, ask him/her if they would prescribe some medication for your acne also – use that visit to your best advantage.
