Can Rotten Teeth (possibly caused by drug use) be repaired?
Question by H3NN!NG: Can Rotten Teeth (possibly caused by drug use) be repaired?
A friend I had not seen in years has moved back to town. I enjoy hanging out with him, but noticed that 3 teeth…near the front have signs of decay near the gums. I know he had a stint with drugs and I know meth was one of them. This lasted for about 2 years, then he went to rehab and has since returned home. We haven’t talked about it, and he doesn’t seem to be unselfconscious about it. But I know at some point we may bring it up, and I’m just curious…can that be fixed? If so how?
He told me he has a dentist appt to fix chipped teeth, but said nothing about the decay…..I pray the dentist says something about it. I feel bad for him…he is good looking but now has this problem….
any help is appreciated!

If they are rotten, they cannot be repaired. But they can be filed down, and veneers can be fitted over the crown of the tooth. They last anything up to about 30 years, depending on how well looked after they are. The only downside is that they are pretty pricey.
