My roommate is addicted to World of Warcraft. Should I smoke him out? (weed of course)?

Question by b: My roommate is addicted to World of Warcraft. Should I smoke him out? (weed of course)?
Do you think this may help. I don’t know whether he’s ever smoked weed or not, but I think he needs something that has the power to instantly give him a drastically different perspective. Being contractually obligated via a lease to be his roommate for a while, I don’t want to confront him too bluntly about it unless all other options are exhausted, and a little research in online forums make it seem pretty difficult to get someone to change through just words. They make it seem worse than a heroin or meth addiction, and it seems to be having a similar effect on his mind in a similar way. Anyway, nobody seems to mention smoking weed as a means to fix this, and the worst case scenario would be that he becomes a serious stoner, which from the ones I know, are far more productive, happy, and friendly than any WoW addict I’ve encountered. What do y’all think? When answering the question, assume that nothing illegal will happen, and that I can take him to Amsterdam, or out into international waters, or Antarctica, or the moon, or Mars if the moon is found to be under US jurisdiciton, or a parallel universe with legal weed if smoking in an oxygen tube in space is unsafe.

I’m serious, he is becoming more of a sad state every day and I can’t bear to not try something.
It should also be noted that I have known this guy nearly all my life. We used to be pretty good friends, but he seems to have lost all of his character and will to do anything else since he started playing WoW.
