Senior Medical Rehab Centers in Houston, Tx.?

Question by ♥The Romantically Inept♥: Senior Medical Rehab Centers in Houston, Tx.?
My grandmother is in a Senior Medical Rehab Center in Houston.
She’s there because she is trying to get better from a staph infection.
I live in Dallas and cannot take care of her as much as I’d like. My mom and I drive down to Houston every weekend, but my aunts keep telling us that they’re not taking care of her, letting her sit in her pee, not feeding her, giving her water, when she has to go to the bathroom, she presses the button and they don’t come for an hour and a half.
We need her moved, do you know of any top rated rehab centers for seniors getting better from a medical problem?

Preferably in Spring, Tx.

Thank you so much
I’ve been able to find a list of them in Houston, but none of them are rated.
I don’t want to take her out of this one and just put her into another one just like this.

Thanks so much for your help (: it means alot

Sounds like your grandma is going to be staying in the nursing home. If she is incontinent, unable to feed herself, or get her own sip of water, she is not going to be coming home. Nursing homes are not in any way acute care settings or close to the hospital care she was getting before she went in. Grant it..an 1 1/2 hours seems a lil extreme to be toileted.
I think you should find a good reputable nursing home near you to look after her, and so you can visit her more often and look after her care.
In order to find the best care for her in your area, you have to drop in to the facilities you are interested in and check them out. Find out how the residents feel about their care and check out the cleanliness of the facilities. Ask lots of questions…then just pick the best one. This isnt something that can be done over the internet or phone. You have to go shopping for a home.
