Do I have to change my friends if I go to rehab?

Question by Sugar Magnolia: Do I have to change my friends if I go to rehab?
After many therapists have suggested I get help for my drinking/marijuana use, I have agreed to do an outpatient program. I truly want to get better; drinking and smoking have caused me embarrassment, bad grades, tension with family and friends, increased anxiety, etc. All of my close friends use drugs and alcohol. I am scared that in rehab they tell you to change your friends. I really do love my friends, is there any way I can be sober while maintaining friendships with at least a few of them?
