Can a dry drunk ever truly become sober?

Question by Paula C: Can a dry drunk ever truly become sober?
A dry drunk is an alcoholic that is not drinking but exhibits all the alcoholic behaviors. Is is possible for a dry drunk to ever become sober in a spiritual/emotional sense? In other words, become spiritual and live his life in a positive light. My husband is a dry drunk and I am wondering if he will ever change or what are the chances/odds that he will change his life. Am I just wasting my time?
