grammar question; meaning of “the fact”?
Question by glen r: grammar question; meaning of “the fact”?
Hello,
I’m confused about the meaning of the expression “the fact” and when to use it. Is there any difference in meaning between the two following sentences?
1. I’m proud of “the fact” I graduated from university.
2. I’m proud of “having” graduated from university.
Does “the fact” simply mean “having done something” or does it mean something else? Also, can you give me a few more examples of how to use the expression “the fact” and the meaing of it in the examples.
