Question by l’il mama: What would be a good logo for this non-profit organization???
I have created a womens center that teaches computer, nutrition, and life skills along with a resource center to women who have completed drug rehabs and have exited domestic abuse shelters. The project is for school and we need to come up with a logo along with a business. I have created the business plan, now I just need a catchy but meaningful logo. Please be creative and help me out!!!

I suppose you know those two symbols: one for males (a circle with an arrow pointing upward in a, say, suggestive fashion) and one for females (the same circle with a cross pointing downwards).

You see them? Okay.

Now my suggestion is to take the latter and add to it a pair of white angel wings (stylized or not as you wish). It’s simple, easy to identify and to understand since the female symbol means woman and the white wings means freedom, elevation, redemption, etc.

I sincerely hope my idea will please you and your partners; and I believe it has much chance to.

As an aside, I worked as art director in advertising agencies for years and I use to deal with this kind of questions.
