had the heart to heart with him, he checked in and out of rehab in one day – at this point he’s on a collision course with joblessness and death at a young age. Any way to increase an addicts willpower?

He needs to see someone. I know you said he was in and out of rehab in one day, but may be more then just rehab would help. Like therapy? Try making an appointment together, and go with him. Maybe if you don’t like that idea go with him to a support group. Search online in your area, and maybe he’d feel a little better after talking to people with the same problem? Maybe he’ll also see how it’s affecting you, by you going with him it will show you care. I hope I was some what helpful.
