Have you used “WMA Convert”? (convert WMA to MP3) Get rid of DRM?
Question by derek_1_98: Have you used “WMA Convert”? (convert WMA to MP3) Get rid of DRM?
It seems to have no problem converting protected WMA’s to unprotected MP3’s. Just for the record, I’m not tying to get around actual copy rights, but would like to keep my hardware options open when buying playing devices in the future. In other words, if I have a Gigabeat and decide 3 years from now to buy an iPod, I shouldn’t have to re-buy all of my music just becuase an iPod doesn’t play protected WMA’s and the DRM won’t let me convert it. Anway, I’m curious if anybody’s had any problems with the software. I read the reviews on cnet, but there were only a few, and the people who had problems sounded like they didn’t know what they were doing. Also, last I heard removing DRM was illegal and pretty serious. It appears that they found some kind of loophole. Does anybody know how they did this. You can see their site at http://www.wma-convert.com/.
