my 82 yr old dad is being taken advantage of by evil brother. i live 5 hrs from them so can’t do much. my sister lives near my dad but is afraid of my brother. dad let him into his life a year ago out of lonliness and guilt since he left us when we were kids. my brother is a shady character: is semi homeless, drug alcohol addicted (supposedly in recovery). is crazy – has pulled a gun on my sister and threatened to kill me and his ex wife in past. hates women & is just crazy in general. for the past year he has been trying to move in with my dad & my dad lets him hang around. now checks have been written on dad’s acct & it appears his drivers license is stolen. the boat motor was also stolen (& probably pawned). i believe it is my brother. once the bank investigates & has proof can i use this to keep him away from my dad? what can i do? dad says sometimes fears him too but yet won’t tell him to go away. what can be done to protect my elderly senile dad from my thief/criminal brother?
we are still waiting for results of bank investigation. when i talk to dad about not letting brother in when he comes over he says he doesn’t want to cut him off until he pays him money he borrowed back. i said dad it makes no sense to keep him around until he pays you back the $ 400 you loaned him when he forged $ 600 + behind your back, plus no telling what else. but he seems reluctant to cut my brother out of his life. this is crazy. we’ll see how he feels when the bank finds out definitely who wrote the checks. what’s also crazy is that i have both sets of parents with problems right now. I presently have another post here about my mom & stepdad who are sick & isolating themselves. crazy to have this happen at same time. thank goodness for yahoo answers.

idk thats terrible call the cops have him arrested or move your dad with you away from your brother he sound dangerous
