A Food and Drug Administration panel on Tuesday recommended that the agency approve Orexigen Therapeutics Inc.’s weight loss drug Contrave, making it the first in group of competitors to get a positive nod from experts.

Possible incoming federal aid to combat prescription drug and heroin abuse
SPRINGFIELD — Clark County may soon be receiving more than $ 75,000 in financial aid to combat a burgeoning prescription drug and heroin abuse problem.The funds are part of a $ 5 million federal grant that has been offered to the Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services to distribute to county boards to combat prescription drug and opiate abuse.
