This is a great song by of course a great band. Its about heroin addiction that Brad Nowell suffered. I cant sing well and hope i didnt butcher it. I have been wanting to do this song for a long, long time. Thanks to Wickkidda for his video. If you guys havent checked out Wickkidda’s videos. You need to. The best Sublime Tributes!!! actually this song is about heroin too. a badfish can be someone who does heroin, or who gets another person to do heroin. listen to the lyrics. it definitely has to do with his addiction…
“lord knows i’m weak, won’t somebody get me off of this reef”… when playing this live he sometimes said “won’t somebody get me off of this tweak?”.
the “big blue whale” refers to the heroin and “i swim but i wish i never learned, the water’s too polluted with germs” is talking about his drug abuse.
oh well. but your right. i never noticed it and all my other videos have “cover” on them. so i changed it.
you should really say in the title that this is a Sublime-cover. You aren’t Sublime, as the title would have me believe.

This rarely happens, so I’m leaving a comment explaining. I was surfing YT not 30 minutes ago. I found a santera cover–a song bringing back memories of high school, more than 10 years ago. I saw that was a sublime cover and started searching for more. I didn’t like this stuff then, but hearing it now, I think it’s awesome! I can’t stop listening to sublime–I was searching for more, came across yours; I don’t know the original, but thought, this song is awesome! So, that’s all due to you.
