Oh my God what is wrong with you people. I am looking for only one of the answers. This is a question that I need to know for my Health Final tomorrow and my teacher took away our books. I am not a drug user (actually I am far from that). Just please give me one of the choices provided. How hard is that?

Living at a therapeutic community can be beneficial. It encompasses all that you mentioned; drug counseling, medication therapy, vocational counseling, parenting, loss and berevement. It is about identifying problems and learning skills to cope with them.
First you have to want to quit! Going through detox is a lot easier than dong it all alone. Then go to a rehab or to counseling. The thing that is most tuff is get out of your present enviorment even if it is your own family that is enabling you.
Usually the environment of most treatment facilities is quite regimented, supervised, and clinical. Avoiding drugs and alcohol is much easier when you are constantly being looked after. I guess an effective and credible treatment center is the best way for this condition.
