Anybody Who Has Done Meth Before. Maybe You Can Help?
Ok, so my friend recently got out of rehab for doing meth. He has “supposedly” been clean, except for the “slip up” a couple of nights ago. Well, last night and the night before has been coming home saying that he is still coming down off of his high. How many days does it take to come down off of one time using meth? What are other major ways to tell if he has recently used?
Thanks so much! Any help you can give me is extremely appriciated.

I’ve done Meth a few times before I got clean and the high last about 2-3 days. You have to completely stop using the stuff to really come off of it!

I work in a law office, where meth heads will call me from jail and they’ll still be twacked out for weeks after, coming down hard after years of using. As far as how long it takes after one slip up, well, it still really depends on how long he’s been using before. I’d say up to a week would be realistic for coming down off one slip up.
Look for big pupils, physical ticks (like tapping toes, snapping his jaw shut, or other weird-ish things like that) or if he seems not hungry or overly happy/sad….it’s fairly hard to tell if someone who’s trying to hide their use is using, but the physical signs can’t be covered up…
