2010 Reformers Unanimous International Conference Official Promo
God has led us to focus this year’s conference on our Fathers Agape Love, with a proper comprehension for ourselves and passionate demonstration for others. This is a “position of disposition” for which Jesus encouraged us to abide in John 15, “As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love” (vs:9). That’s not MY love, it’s His. It’s the Agape love of God, the first of His nine fruits of the Spirit. In previous conference years, we taught the value of what we term the Hid-IN-Life™. This Spirit-filled life is a life lived IN Christ Jesus. The command of John 15 tells us how we remain “IN Christ”. It is by perfecting, rather than neglecting, our Father’s Agape love into every aspect of our life. And how do we do this? We do this through simple appreciation for His love that manifests itself in obedience to His Word. 1 John 2:5 teaches us, “But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.” But mankind has other alternatives than this perfect love. Actually, we have multiple alternatives to the love of God and obedience to the love of our Father. One belongs to man and is selfish and humanistic. Another belongs to the devil and is sensual and devilish. The sad truth, we will learn, is this Satanic form of love is permeating churched people today, even more than our selfish, human love has tended.
