things can hang around in your body for days afterward.
it is common to have hangovers from doing drugs which can be painful and whatnot. it usually takes a few days for the body to work completely normal again.. if you did o.d then your body just needs extra time.. i would try and relax and wait it out because chances are the doctors can’t do anything more for you. i have never done meth personally so i have no idea what you must have gone through. id wait it out a while.

These symptoms are probably your body trying to get that stuff back out of your system. Overdoses are exhibited shortly after using the stuff and you have already been treated for that. And yes, that stuff can cause permanent injury to your organs so hopefully, you are never going to do this again. Meth is highly addictive and you are lucky you made it through this episode. I can cause heart attacks too by raising your heart rate too high while you are using. Your chances of having a heart attack now are low. They checked all those things while you were at the hospital. I have had patients die within one hour of ingesting a large amount of meth. It is not pretty.

first off in most of the questions you ask you say your 12. which is it 12 or 19? second of all have you seen people who do meth? look up faces of meth under yahoo. really beautiful right! you state in several of your other questions you have a eating disorder. if your so worried about your looks meth is the last thing you need to do. i suggest talking to someone and getting a good counselor or psych doctor. you sound like your on a road to nowhere. start caring about yourself and get help fast. good luck.

Did they make you come down somehow? depending on the strength of the meth you smoked and how much, you could still just be feeling the effects of the drug and not some side effect from an overdose. I’ve never heard of a meth overdose while i was doing it except in conjunction with the use of another drug, but “overamping” is what you described and could lead to heart failure or something similar. Like I said, those effects sound like you are still spun out.

You won’t have a heart attack, although I can’t say whether your liver will be damaged (not significantly, anyways). Drug overdoses are very quick and painful, you should be fine now and if you weren’t, you would definitely know. Most likely the symptoms are from being worried about it. That being said, smoking meth is the most harmful way to ingest it (more so than shooting it up). There is a reason why people who do meth lose their teeth when they are 30, its because they smoked it. If you do it again, i can guaruntee you will have not only liver damage but everything else in your body will be f—ed up, permanently.

If you survive the physical affects of using meth, you are doing good. Yes, it is true, you will loose your teeth after smoking it. You will look really awful and people will see you in the stores and say “there’s a doper”. There is also the mental damage that it causes-Drug Induced Schizophrenia. It’s the ugliest thing you’ll ever see or feel. Being paranoid and hearing voices the rest of your life. Not being able to have a job or friends. Spending you life in mental institutions. Good luck with your meth use!!!

Just curious. I found a baggy of crystal meth in my driveway which can be no one else’s but my brother’s. Now, i have a one-year-old daughter and i want to know how much of this stuff would actually cause her to overdose. it wasn’t a lot in the baggy but i have never done drugs so i don’t even know how much this actually is.

To the girl who think she od’d If you really feel like you are having heart/bp problems I would make an appointment with a good cardiologist not the ER, just to see if maybe you had a pre-existing condition the meth triggered. A typical overdose occurs shortly after taking the drug or if you combine other toxic substances with it. What you experienced sounds like the severe panic attacks and physically painful “crash” that can occur once the euphoria wears off. Don’t be scared of the nasty comments from the others who posted who are talking about you like some hardcore meth junkie, which you do not sound like, you are not going to die or turn into a toothless psycho! I suffer from anxiety disorder(since childhood) and am very sensitive and to the effects of meth and all uppers for that matter, I always obsessed on fear, negativity and was always convinced I was dying every time I came down; sometimes the misery and depression would last for days just from a few bumps. I reassure you that you are fine, don’t be scared. It will most likely turn out that you have anxiety issues which can cause symptoms like chest pain, but fear not there is plenty of help out there. Permanent damage is typically due to prolonged heavy usage, but even then the human body and spirit is amazingly resilient and I have known hardcore “hopeless cases” – long term abusers of every substance you name who have turned their lives around, made the effort to become fit and are even stronger, healthier and happier than ever! I’d be more worried about permanent damage from ridiculously deadly and toxic legal stuff like cigarettes, alcohol, OTC & prescription drugs. If you combine the numbers of mortalities in the whole world from every single illegal drug put together from one year it will still just be a fraction compared to the U.S. fatalaties alone from the legal ones. For those going through the fear and discomfort from the aftermath of a meth high just relax, eat banannas to maintain potassium levels, pamper yourself and know that it is actually rare to OD from moderate use of pure amphetamine alone if you have normal health; it is usually complications irresponsible or uneducated users incur from running ragged on crank made/cut with god knows what for days with no nutrition, marked dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, and indiscriminately mixing alcohol/other drugs. I am not condoning speed nor am I going to label every one who does it as doomed to skankdom, liquefied organs, and death. It can be dangerous of course just like any drug whether legal or illegal so use extreme caution, common sense and remember that everyone reacts differently so if you must indulge for god’s sake don’t try to imitate the dose others are taking if it’s something you are unfamiliar with !
