Recovering meth addicts?

Can a person stop using meth after 10 years of daily use completely and entirely on their own and live the rest of their life genuinely happy and successful? Would the depression ever go away and would they ever be able to laugh again? Or will the rest of their life always consist of crystal meth anonymous meetings and obesity instead?
