Crystal Meth Addiction Symptoms and Signs
Crystal Meth is simply methamphetamine, which is very popular among drug users. This is generally crystalline in structure, whose street names are “icy” and “cristy”. This is a very addictive type of drug. Statistics have shown that 42 percent of those who have tried it for the first time feel the need to try it once again. How Well Do Alcohol Recovery Programs Actually Work?
Question by almintaka: How well do alcohol recovery programs actually work?
Hi Everyone,
Alcoholics Anonymous (“AA”, spiritual), Rational Recovery (“RR”, cognitive), SMART (cognitive), Save Ourselves (“SOS”, cognitive) and other alcohol recovery programs all claim varying levels of success in helping alcoholics on the road to recovery. However, there is a lot of controversy surrounding their claims, as even a quick search on the internet will reveal. Viewing this chaos of opinions from “outside the box”, it certainly seems as though they’re all blowing smoke. Anecdotal arguments are used, tabloid-style quotations are touted as being authentic, and “my way or the highway” rationalizing is often used. One thing they all have in common is that apparently none of them has a handle on real statistics (though I could be wrong here; I just haven’t found any). In addition, independent studies (NIAA, Dawson) have shown that these programs are no more successful than no program at all. What’s your opion? Do one or more of these programs work better than nothing?
13 Year Old Dating/sleeping With Older Men – Help!?
Question by 925′s Salvation: 13 year old dating/sleeping with Older Men – Help!?
Honestly, this is an ugly situation as both of her parents are drug addicts (habitual – the step-father actively shares cigarettes and a substance known as Spice (synthetic cannabis) with the daughter, and the biological mother drinks everyday and uses meth “responsibly”, if you could say that).
The mother is 43, the step-father (who is a good friend) is 25 and I am 24.There is a large gap in age between the mother and daughter, and the mother can only do so much with her limited energy these days (in which she sleeps most of the day, almost every day). They used to spend a good amount of time together, but now that that’s missing, the effect it has on her life *shows*.
My Friend Is a REALLY BAD Influence on Me Because of Drugs…?
Question by Azula: My friend is a REALLY BAD influence on me because of drugs…?
Hi I’m in grade 10 now and I am your average student- I don’t get in any trouble or get really bad grades, but now I have a problem with my friend, let’s call her, Amy. We are really good friends but nothing major – and since it’s freshman year and I don’t know anybody or have that much “friends,” Amy is the person I usually hang out with. She is really into emo’s and the “scene” look Which I think is a load of bull because whenever she sees some scene kid she says ” Oh she’s so beauiful,” and the next day she tries to tease her and wear particular clothing- But T.T That I don’t really mind, it’s just that she is REALLY into marijuana- She has so much friends that smoke tobacco, marijuana, and a few of her friends that I know personally even do crsytal meth, “shrooms,” and 1 girl even gets injections… :S Her “best friend” is now a druggie who gets high on marijuana- and she also goes to the same highschool- but she ditched Amy for some druggie friends. Now Amy always wants to hang out with her old bestie like a tag allong. Just today I asked Amy why the hell she thinks marijuana is not a drug- But how is not getting high on weed not a drug? We had a big fight on this where she was the pro and I was the con- and Amy actually said that marijuana is HEALTHY for you, it’s a natural herb, and that is has no severe health affects. WTF? She was so angry she changed the subject into coca cola- “what about coke?”, she asked. “it’s bad for you, is that a drug?!” I don’t know what got herself in raged like that but I think she wanted to support her druggie friends and she wanted to get high some day- or maybe she already has. I told my mom about this and she was infuriated! She wants me to never hang out with Amy again due to her bad influence- But I do agree I don’t want to really hang out with her- She needs other people her type- but I just can’t do it
I’m not a mean person. How can I tell her nicely and stirnley that I don’t want to be influenced by her and her beleif in drugs- and not only that, she always copies my homework answers and whenever we are doing a project, she makes me do the work.
Please help! Sorry for the long summary – ![]()
Thankyou for the polite answers .
Oh and I meant to say she”teases” her hair lmao
