It does sound like some kind of flu or pneumonia. It sounds like he maybe hallucinating too. I do believe that maybe he's sweating out the drugs. His body is fighting off the addiction. Sense drugs pretty much take over the endorphines, and hormones in the body, his body is trying to get it's own endorphines without the drugs. I' think he'll be fine in about a week or two.
